Children on the reality television show 'Supernanny' have sometimes been made to cry to increase viewing figures, it was alleged by a founder of the Channel 4 board, Roger Graef.

The Daily Telegraph reported that he told a debate called 'TV on Trial'at the London School of Economics, 'In some reality programmes I havehad producers come to me and say, "I can't do this any more, I have beentold to change the ending to conform to the script".' Channel 4 saidthere was no evidence to support the claim.

A woman in Russia has given birth to a girl weighing 17.5lb, said ITNNews, and 'little' Nadia has eight sisters and three brothers who allweighed more than 11lb at birth. Meanwhile, the Sun reported thatKimberley Mueller, a baby born in Hanover, Germany, 15 weeks prematureand weighing just ten ounces, has gone home for the first time, agedfive months.
