Minister to give keynote speech at NW 'twos' conference

Childcare and education minister Sam Gyimah has confirmed he will open NW's conference on 2 July with a Government update on the programme of funded places for two-year-olds.

Language delay, physical development and assessment will also be among the hot topics up for discussion at 'Two-year-olds: the drive for high-quality provision', to be held in London.

The programme includes the findings of recent research into the challenges of meeting the emotional and learning needs of this group. A top line-up of speakers will then be offering practical solutions and activity ideas designed to raise the quality of provision.

  • learn about SSTEW - the new environmental learning scale monitoring 'sustained shared thinking' and 'well-being' - and how it can work alongside ITERS and ECERS, and
