Nursery nurse MBE

Diane Warrick has been awarded an MBE in the Queen's New Year's Honourslist for her services to early years education. Ms Warrick, a nurserynurse at Millbank Primary School in Pimlico, London, has been workingwith children since 1970. Ms Warrick said, 'I was absolutely shocked - Ifeel very privileged. I've enjoyed seeing children develop, even fromage three to five. It's amazing how they arrive as little toddlers andbecome independent learners, ready to move into Year One.'

Nurseries have until 31 January to enter Bob the Builder's competitionto win a complete eco-makeover. Project: Renovate was launched last yearwith the message 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' to help children learn aboutthe importance of energy efficiency and the environment.
