- Memorable snow

Children from Little Acorns Day Nursery in Gomersal, West Yorkshire,enjoyed the arrival of snow last week. They put down grit to clear thenursery paths to keep themselves and others safe and learned aboutmelting and freezing. Alex Larkin from the pre-school room said, 'Thechildren had lots of fun exploring the snow. For many of them it is thefirst snow they remember'.

- Run for the money

Parents and staff members from Mid Gavin Nursery in Howwood, Scotland,have raised 1,240 for Yorkhill Children's Hospital after takingpart in the women's 10K run in Glasgow. In the past month, the nurseryhas also collected 35 boxes full of goodies for the Shoe Box Appeal andraised 960 for Breast Cancer Awareness and Children In Need.
