Happy New Year

The New Year was seen in with style by children attending TLC DayNursery at Milton Keynes Hospital. They celebrated with streamers, partyblowers, party hats and special festive drinks. At midday the childrengathered around a Big Ben clock that they had made to hear it strike12.

Childminders from Norbury Hill Cubs in Norbury, Greater London, held aparty to raise money for the charity Help a London Child. Their effortsraised just over 137.

Children at Early Years Childcare in Worthing, West Sussex, enjoyed astory time session with a difference when local author Jill Atkins cameto visit. Ms Atkins, who has written a number of children's stories andeducational books, read out stories, sang songs and engaged childrenwith role play sessions and puppetry. The event follows a new project bythe nursery chain to explore new and exciting ways of approachingliteracy as children prepare for the transition to primary school.
