Sports Day fun
Nurseries around the country have been holding sports days this summer. Staff at First Place Nursery in Bushey, Hertfordshire dressed up in wellies, hats, gloves and scarves to run a silly race. Meanwhile, Nannas Neighbourhood Nursery in Colchester, Essex, also involved children, parents and grandparents in a number of sporting activities.
Beautiful butterflies
Children at Spring Close Montessori School in Burwell, Cambridgeshire watched their own butterflies grow from chrysalises and then released them into the nursery garden. Staff said they were surprised to find that the butterflies were willing to pose for photographs before flying away into the wild.
