Nursery World posters are back

This week's Nursery World (10 September) includes a free A2 activity poster - the first of a series of six on the theme of Collections.

Nursery World always strives to be a really useful resource for early years practitioners. So we're delighted to be bringing back the A2 colour posters that have been such a popular feature of the magazine.

The first poster in the Collections series is on the topical subject of Leaves. The front features beautiful photographs illustrating the huge variety of leaves, and the back, by Helen Bromley, has ideas for building your collection, activities for areas such as small world play, investigative area, creative area and investigative area along with songs, resources, books and websites.

Future poster subjects will include shells and feathers, and the series will build up into an invaluable resource to display on your wall and use in all areas of the setting. Each poster will be published in the second issue of each month.

We hope the format and content of the posters will fit perfectly with how practitioners are now working under the Early Years Foundation Stage, giving ideas for enhanced and continuous provision to follow children's interests.
