OUTSTANDING CELEBRATIONS

Happy Days flagship nursery in Summercourt, Newquay has been celebrating receiving an 'outstanding' grade in its latest Ofsted inspection. Jackie Arthur, managing director of Happy Days Nurseries, said, 'We are delighted with the result as Summercourt is our brand new nursery and it has been developed to lead the industry in terms of environment, learning and what we can offer parents.'

AUSSIE SKYPE CHAT

Children at The Old Station Nursery at Lincoln Marina were given the opportunity to speak to children in Australia through Skype. Nursery manager Sam Waite's sister, Jo Tout, lives in Canberra and arranged for her family to speak to the children about life on the other side of the world. The idea behind the chat was to give children the chance to learn more about Australia and ask the family questions about how they celebrated Australia Day on 26 January last month.
