Apermanent office area can offer purposeful opportunities for using language and literacy in role play and deepen children's understanding of why and how we communicate.
It can also act as a central resource area offering quick and easy access to equipment that will support their learning in other areas. A child who suddenly needs to make a 'Stop' sign to avert a vehicle 'pile-up' in the outdoor area must be able to act quickly and this means a direct route to pens and paper!
