Olympic Gold medallist Sally Gunnell

(Photograph) - Olympic Gold medallist Sally Gunnell paid a visit to Hoppits Nursery in East Sussex to present medals of achievement to 20 two- to four-year-olds who have completed their first year of the Leaps and Bounds physical activity programme. The programme, devised by Tumble Tots, is a progressive pre-school skills programme that follows the Foundation Stage guidance for physical development. Children take part in weekly 30-minute sessions with a Leaps and Bounds instructor to practice their balancing, climbing, rolling and ball skills. Ms Gunnell said, 'Learning basic skills is important for children to enjoy sports and develop the sporting stars of the future.' Photo Richard Lea-Hair
