Outdoor potential

Further to the news story 'Outdoor areas hinder Foundation Stage' (4 July). I teach reception children in our local primary school, and our outdoor facilities are poor - yet they have the potential to be transformed if the funds were made available.

I teach reception children in our local primary school, and our outdoor facilities are poor - yet they have the potential to be transformed if the funds were made available.

Too many schools have to juggle a playground area that is used by the rest of the school at different times in the day, while others do not have the budget to make areas more appealing and user-friendly.

The Government needs to address this problem before it sends Ofsted in to condemn the work being done by Foundation staff struggling in difficult circumstances.
