Parents 'missing out on vouchers'

Parents are spending more money on their holiday childcare than they need to, according to nursery chain Busy Bees.

The chain's survey of 200 out-of-school and holiday clubs found that many parents were unaware they could use childcare vouchers towards the cost of holiday childcare. The clubs said there was a lack of knowledge about how vouchers work and many employers did not offer them.

Vicky McBride, who runs Out Of School Kids' Clubs, which runs breakfast, after-school and holiday clubs at nine schools across Liverpool, accepts vouchers as payment and offers them to her full-time employees as a benefit.
