Partnerships put Government recruitment campaign to the test

Partnerships across England have been putting the Government's childcare recruitment campaign into practice in recent months - and have been finding out what works best through a process of trial and error. The Department for Education and Employment allocated funding to partnerships to implement the recruitment campaign last summer. It asked them to put plans together quickly and get them up and running by the autumn. Since the drive to recruit childcare workers is the first of its kind, there was little specific expertise they could draw on and they have had to learn through experience.
