Princess Christian in 3m buy-out

The latest nursery buy-out has seen Princess Christian Nurseries, the eighth-largest nursery chain in the UK and Ireland, acquire the Petits Enfants group. The deal adds nine more nurseries and 527 places in London and the south-east of England to Princess Christian, which is owned by private education company Nord Anglia. It brings the group's total number of nurseries to 33.

The purchase, worth a total consideration of 3.2m, is made up of Pounds 2.5m in cash and 275,315 shares valued at 180 pence per share.

Princess Christian has also taken on 200,000 of debts.

Nord Anglia chairman Kevin McNeany said, 'The acquisition of Petits Enfants greatly strengthens our position in the fast-growing nursery market. It gives us a greater presence in the south-east area where higher nursery fees are achieved.'
