Projects that support children and adults

Projects that support children and adults who have been diagnosed with cancer and other life-threatening or limiting conditions in Northern Ireland have received a 3.6m lottery cash grant. Announcing the funding under the New Opportunities Palliative Care Programme last week, parliamentary under-secretary of state Angela Smith said, 'Palliative care is a very worthy cause and this special programme will help to provide the best possible quality of life for people with life-threatening conditions and enable their families to have the much-needed support they require.' The awards have gone to 25 projects across the province's four health and social services boards.
