It's good that parents are expressing their feelings and awareness of the low rate of pay for childcarers (News, 24 May). I'm training to be a nursery nurse at the moment and will finish my course in November. I will always work with children as that's what I'm good at.
It's good that parents are expressing their feelings and awareness of the low rate of pay for childcarers (News, 24 May).
I'm training to be a nursery nurse at the moment and will finish my course in November. I will always work with children as that's what I'm good at.
However, I would like to see the wages go up and for us to be respected as professionals for what we do.
It is time we were recognised not just as people who look after children, but who educate as well as care for them.
