It has been launched in various sites including Bradford, Leicester, London, Edinburgh and Cardiff. Lone parents will also be offered a week's free childcare under the Childcare Tasters initiative. The scheme, introduced in April, has now been expanded to include Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Greenwich, Aberdeenshire, Fife and Torfaen. For information see www.dwp.gov.uk.
