Scotland's early years sector has been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours. Among those receiving the MBE are Ruby Burns, for services to pre-school education at Cardonald College, Glasgow; Williamina Cumming, manager of the Rocking Horse Nursery at the University of Aberdeen, for services to nursery care; Mora Scott, honorary president of Children 1st in Moray, for services to children; and Anne Sterry, nursery nurse at Usk Primary School, for services to children with special needs.
