(Photograph) - Scotland's health minister Andy Kerr joined in a handwashing demonstration at Hilltop Nursery in Glasgow last week as part of Infection Control Awareness Week, where children heard an infection control nurse explain the importance of hygiene in helping to prevent the spread of viruses and bugs such as E-coli and MRSA. A national 2.5m hand hygiene campaign will be launched early next year. Scotland's health watchdog the Care Commission has praised the initiative. Photo Allan Milligan
