Do such remarks ring a bell with you? Have you fumed to yourself or to a friend without plucking up the courage to say it to the person you most want to hear it? One of the most challenging aspects of a nanny's career is maintaining a good working relationship with an employer. The nature of the job makes this difficult at times, but if you let it slide it can cause a great deal of friction and unhappiness - not least because of the children, who can pick up on tension very quickly and are likely to be confused and unsettled because of it.
