Name: Angie Walker

Position: Swimming teacher at Oakwood School and Nursery in Chichester,West Sussex

- Why did you decide to hold a sponsored swimming challenge at theschool?

We were sent information from Breast Cancer Campaign about fundraising.Swimming is a large part of the curriculum at the school and all thechildren are involved. The school regularly holds fundraising events andthis was something different that the children from nursery upwardscould take part in.

- How much money did you raise?

We raised 6,557 for the charity and swam over 82 miles. Someparents and grandparents even got involved. Because we surpassed thecharity's expectations they sent us a special pink award to recogniseour efforts, that's displayed in the school.
