What is going on at your college?

Our college has pledged its support to Kidney Research UK's campaign'Find a Cure for Martha'. Martha Stringer is a three-year-old girl fromMarple suffering from FSGS, a disease that affects kidney function.Money collected will go towards research into kidney diseases.

What made you get involved with the campaign?

We're doing the CACHE Diploma in Childcare & Education. Although wedidn't know much about Martha's condition, we soon discovered morethrough meeting her and realised we couldn't sit back and do nothing. Itwas really emotional and she's just a happy little girl.

So what have you raised so far?

We've raised 751 from the raffle and fancy dress day (pictured),with more to come in. And that's just the first of four events - we'vealso got The Weakest Link on 19 May and The Martha Mile on 12 May.
