How did you achieve the first outstanding Ofsted rating for the Teddieschain?

Children at our nursery are treated as individuals and this forms thebasis of quality care. We encourage the children to be independent. Weset the standards but the children make the standards. We have a verycommitted team. Bexleyheath is the largest Teddies nursery with 90places and 42 staff, yet we have very low turnover.

How did you establish such strong links with parents?

We established a parent forum just over a year ago with 12 parentrepresentatives. We formed this to encourage our parents to become moreinvolved, sharing their skills and knowledge. We have a fantasticrapport with parents. Trust has the biggest impact.
