What was your reaction when you won Star Apprentice at the learndirect Inspiration Awards?

I was completely shocked, It was amazing. I try to give my job 110 per cent all the time, and I was focused on the coursework as well as the hands-on work. I'm proud of everything I've achieved so far. From starting with nothing to working through my apprenticeship and my training at a nursery in Clifton and now working as a qualified Level 3 early years educator at Mama Bear's in Shirehampton

How do you make a difference as a nursery nurse?

I am mainly working with the children on their development. For their next steps, we set targets for the children to work on and track their progression. Personal, social, emotional, communication and maths - we include all those areas and work with the children on achieving goals, such as putting two words together or just appreciating a moment.
