Spotlight on…Emily Rudge

Nursery nurse at Tinies Day Nursery in Gloucester

Emily was recently named Early Years Apprentice of the Year at the fifth annual Lifetime Learner Achievement Awards.

How does it feel to win Apprentice of the Year?

I started working with children to gain experience towards becoming an art therapist, but as soon as I started, I knew this was what I wanted to do. The apprenticeship suited me because I am an independent learner and the hands-on approach made me feel like I was in control of my learning.
