Supporters for child witnesses sought in NI

* Childcarers throughout Northern Ireland have been asked to help support children who may have to give evidence in criminal trials. The NSPCC is looking for adults with experience of working with children to help expand its Child Witness Service to courts throughout the Province, following a successful pilot project at Belfast and Londonderry Crown Courts. The charity said its service aimed to help children feel more confident and better equipped to give evidence.
