The nominees for the Child Friendly Leeds Awards have been announced.

The seventh annual awards ceremony will take place on 6 February at Leeds City Varieties Music Hall to celebrate people, places and organisations working to make Leeds a good place for children to grow up.

Among the nominees is Beanstalk Nursery, which is located in one of the most deprived areas of Leeds but provides its own daily meals, art supplies and experiences without asking parents for contributions.

Meanwhile, Skelton Grange (pictured), an environmental centre which offers educational visits for schools, holiday activities for disadvantaged children and activity days for childminders, has been nominated for ‘overall contribution to making Leeds a child-friendly city’.
