* A 400-acre dairy farm-cum-day nursery was honoured with a prestigious award at the Devon County Show for its diverse and thriving family- run businesses. Thorne Manor Day Nursery and Pre-school, located on Thorne Farm, opened two years ago in a converted farm building. It expanded in January to house a baby unit and the farm offers a holiday club for older children. It has been awarded the John Neason Perpetual Challenge Trophy.
