The inside story for children

Decorating at home involved the odd bit of wallpaper or a mural. While my first world was one of stories and pictures in books, the very young are now treated to a succession of spaces and faces.

Children are now fully-fledged consumers. Family life has retreated to the background of a world obsessed with work and the idea of 'productivity'.

Instead of showing a child that they may be a small cog in the large wheel of adult society, interiors for children are places that give them power.
