The Just Learning nursery chain has appointed John Samuel, formerly acquisitions manager at the Leapfrog chain, as its new development director. He will be responsible for the Kent-based chain's new sites and acquisitions. Just Learning has recently expanded to 56 nurseries with the 17.25m takeover of Scotland's largest nursery operator, Edinburgh-based Careshare, and the north east-based UK Voyager Group. Managing director Michael Fallon said, 'We are delighted to welcome John to Just Learning. His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to expand the company. Just Learning plans to build or acquire eight to 10 sites every year.' Mr Fallon said the new development director 'will enable us to consolidate our position as one of the country's leading providers of nursery education'.
