The National Autistic Society

01 January 2003

The National Autistic Society wants to raise the number of volunteers working for its tribunal support scheme, part of the charity's Advocacy for Education service, giving advice and information to parents wishing to challenge the decision made by their local education authority about their child's educational needs and provision at tribunal. The Society is looking for 'clear-thinking individuals with an interest in special educational needs and the capacity to listen and offer straightforward advice'. Full training and ongoing support to work on the home-based telephone service will be given. For more information contact the Society on 020 7903 3760 or e-mail advocacy@nas.org.uk.
