The National Day Nurseries

Association has called on the Government to adopt an inclusive approach to childcare providers in the forthcoming Childcare Bill. The NDNA wants local authorities to include private and voluntary day nurseries fully in the children's centre commissioning process. NDNA chief executive Purnima Tanuku said, 'There should be targets set for involvement of private and voluntary sectors by local authorities, which can then be measured, as opposed to guidance alone.' Consultation on the bill closes on 7 October.
