The new Centre of Vocational Excellence in Childcare Training was opened by Northampton College last week with the aim of increasing the number of NVQ Level 3 qualified childcare professionals in the county. The centre will run courses for anyone working with the under-eights and playworkers who work with children aged from five to 14. In addition there will be courses for nannies employed by private families and for people who work in after-school clubs, holiday playschemes and with children in hospital.
