The council will be responsible for developing and leading a ChildInternet Safety Strategy and advising the Government. Kevin Brennan,minister for children and young people, said, 'These next steps show ourcommitment to acting on Dr Byron's recommendations with the same paceand strength that they were set out. By engaging across government andindustry we will provide a robust and coherent strategy within theoutlined timeframe.'
