Thomas Buxton Infants School

(Photograph) - Five-year-old Parvin Begun from Thomas Buxton Infants School in London has fun inside 'The Den', one of the artworks created for Early Education's Great Outdoors art exhibition at the Children's Gallery in Whitechapel, London. The show was opened by sculptor Anthony Gormley, who said there should be a place for young children's art in the UK's major national galleries. Children aged three to eight at nurseries and schools across the UK contributed work to the exhibition, being asked to create something inspired by their favourite outdoor place or object or how they feel about being outdoors. 'The Den' was created by children from Fortune Park Nursery in London. The exhibition, which is part of Early Education's 80th anniversary celebrations, runs until 30 August. The gallery is at 130 Cavell Street, London E1 and is open from 10am to 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Admission is free.
