Sheila Dillon investigates illegal foods such as raw drinking milk, which has been illegal in Scotland since 1983, and illegal food imports such as monkey, antelope and bat meat.

'Letters from Space'

(BBC Radio 4, 5.40 to 5.54pm)

Former US astronaut Jerry Lineger reads the letters he wrote to his then 14-month-old baby son from the Mir space station. Out in space Jerry wanted to share his experiences, memories and hopes with his son, so that he might one day be forgiven for his absence.

The Fimbles - Fimbo, Florrie and Baby Pom - are the latest characters to be targeted at a pre-school audience. Each programme contains songs, rhymes, a simple animated story and a 'discovery sequence', in which finding an object becomes a narrative of its own. Anything, from a man-made object such as a Wellington boot or a natural one such as a pine cone, to colours and numbers, provides the starting point for storytelling, song, dance, verse and humour.

'Twenty Minutes - Dutch Icons'

This programme investigates the folk tale of the little boy who saved his village from flooding by stopping a hole in a dyke, and explores the resonance his story holds today in a world of changing climate and lost tradition.
