'Chalkface Lovesongs'

This three-part series hears from six teachers on why they stay in the profession in spite of poor status, low pay and high stress. Each programme features two teachers who talk about a single event or experience that explains or embodies their reasons for staying in teaching. In the first programme Grainne Tobin finds that studying Huckleberry Finn with a mixed class of Protestant and Catholic boys in Northern Ireland allows them to find out about each other for the first time.
