Visual impairment

In Nursery World Scotland last week (May 23) we reported incorrectly that a survey prepared for the Scottish Parliament's cross-party group on visual impairment had found that 80 per cent of nursery school-aged children were not getting their eyes tested by health authorities. In fact, the survey found that three-quarters of Scotland's nursery school-aged children were not getting their eyes tested by either orthoptists or optometrists, the only health professionals with the necessary level of expertise.
