Voluntary and community groups across Wales

Voluntary and community groups across Wales have just over three weeks to be nominated for a Queen's Golden Jubilee Award. A successful group must demonstrate that it is locally run, has a proven track record of active involvement in the community, normally over a period of three years or more, and has generated a high level of goodwill and respect among those it serves and the wider community. For further details of the award, visit the Golden Jubilee website at www.goldenjubilee.gov.uk, e-mail gjaward@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk or phone 0845 000 2002. First Minister Rhodri Morgan said, 'Voluntary and community groups play an essential role in providing important services to people in Wales and across the UK.'
