Well equipped for winners

Tami-Mari Davis of nursery equipment manufacturers Numicon stepped forward for the gold award for best product in the Foundation Stage: Reception category in the Nursery World Equipment awards. Nursery World editor Liz Roberts presented each winner with a certificate and a bottle of champagne at the award ceremony in London last month.

Numicon's Foundation Stage maths kit was the overall winner in its category, with the silver certificate going to the Infant Video Toolkit from 2Simple Software. On the shortlist were the magnetic board and overlays from Learning with Linden and Listen, Think and Do Level 1 from LDA.

In the Foundation Stage: Nursery category, the gold certificate went to the Skribi Pre-Handwriting Game from Asco. The silver certificate went to the play parachute from Shrophsire-based Full-of-Beans.

Insect Lore's musical instruments won the gold award for equipment for under-threes. Leapfrog Toys' learning drum took the silver certificate.
