If you work in Wales you've been left out of the chance to join the Childcare Approval Scheme - until now. Nannies in Wales can now apply to become approved, and from 6 April parents can claim tax credits for employing them, like those in England have been able to do since 2005. As of last September more than 3,000 nannies have been registered as approved, making themselves more attractive on the job market. For details go to www.childcareapprovalscheme.co.uk.
