Designed to be used by several children at once, the caterpillar can be made any length you like. It is made from weather and vandal-resistant layers of polythene panels, with vertical metal tubes that produce seven different notes per section when tapped gently or when struck with a beater. A small caterpillar with a head, body and one musical section with seven notes, plus a tail, is priced 950. An outdoor Zebraphone is also available with musical bars, similar to the caterpillar, and a long caterpillar with a soft brush body and legs that can be pulled in and out to activate marbles and bells inside, form part of the outdoor range.
