- With my payrise in my last post, I was on £5.50 an hour, the same as someone with a level 2; the level 3s got £5.75. When I left, I got an office job until I could find another nursery post. I decided to buy a flat with my husband, the mortgage based on my salary of £14,069. I have been trying to get back into a nursery but nowhere pays enough. I have just applied for a post at a university nursery, which is paying £13,458-£13,765, more than I've seen for most qualified posts. I hope I get it, as I feel it may be my last chance.
