Smarty Pants Day Nursery in Plaistow, London is raising money for two-year-old Bella, who was due to join the setting in January where her older sister attends but has been diagnosed with a rare brain tumour.
Bella is being treated at Great Ormond St Hospital. Manager Carl Lewis said, ‘Just before Bella was due to start with us she began to show signs of illness, meaning she never got to take up her place.
The nursery is planning a Cultural Day on 13 February as well as a number of events over the coming weeks to raise as much money as possible towards finding a cure/treatment, and also to organise small trips for Bella to enjoy as much of her life as possible with her family.’ The nursery has set up a page for donations at:https://www.gofundme.com/f38vg-help-us-help-bella
