Nursery World readers reveal their latest finds

My favourite book that I use and refer to both in and out of the classroom is The Characteristics of Effective Early Learning by Nancy Stewart. A great book that is laid out to enable readers to go back to basics and build upon their knowledge.
Lois Nott, training director at Leap UK

This probably indicates that I'm a bit sad but my newest and favourite toy is the Lakeland rechargeable electric carpet sweeper. It weighs a few ounces, is powerful enough to pick up a coin (and cat fur), silent and cordless. My life has been transformed!
Sue Chambers, independent early years consultant

One of my favourite things is a small book called The Little Book of Thunks: 260 questions to make your brain go ouch! by Ian Gilbert. It is full of philosophical questions that make you think, and to help you view things from different perspectives
Janet Uwins, independent early years consultant

My favourite resource website is Twinkl.co.uk - fantastic resources for all ages, but the illustrations really lend themselves to early years.
Jon Griffiths, early years phase leader at Kingswood Infant School and Nursery in Basildon
