Looking at things from a parent’s perspective is always a good idea, and one useful way to do this is to read their literature. The main points of interest here will be the chapters on what to look out for when visiting daycare nurseries or childminders (a useful checklist). It’s presented with a positive gloss (look out for ‘children who seem content, settled and engaged’) rather than highlighting key warning signs. Still, it’s clear and comprehensive.
