Hugless Douglas

by David Melling, Hodder Children's Books, boardbook, 5.99

Loveable bear Douglas gets up, dresses and sets off in search of a what he really wants: a hug. He recalls that his best cuddles have been big, tall and comfy, but a stone, trees and leaves just don't do the trick. Desperately, he turns to some unsuspecting sheep, an owl and finally a rabbit to help him find the perfect bear hug. Great fun, and the book comes with a helpful guide to hugs on the closing end pages.
