Lenny Goes to Nursery School and Where's Lenny?

by Ken Wilson-Max, Frances Lincoln, hardback, 9.99 each

Lenny, a three-year-old with dual heritage, returns with two more stories about familiar experiences for pre-school children.

On his first day at nursery school, he's a bit nervous. Mum takes him there and he meets a little girl called Lucy, who looks after him. They sing a song, do some drawings, ride trikes and play with a ball. Then after a drink of juice, they listen to a story. When it's time to go home Lenny wants to stay a bit longer to play with his new friend. And he can't wait to come back tomorrow.

This is a reassuring little book, relating in the simplest terms what children want to know before starting nursery: the routine, that they will find a friend and that a parent will be there to collect and hug them at the end of the day.
