The company, which currently has 14 nurseries across central Scotland, is to open new units in Kinross, Aberdeen, Inverness, Livingston, Dunfermline, Glasgow and the Borders.
Managing director Isabel Ridley said Careshare was expanding outside the central belt 'as part of its plan to dominate Scotland with high quality childcare'.
'We set very high standards and are recruiting quality staff who will flourish with the company and contribute to the excellent reputation which we enjoy today,' she said.
Careshare's expansion is being bankrolled by 11.5m funding from venture capitalists 3i. The company is looking at expanding into England, either through buying existing nurseries or opening new purpose-built units. So far, all its nurseries apart from two are purpose-built.
