Fundraising plays a huge role in any pre-school and a strong fundraising team of parents can reap many benefits. It isn't just about the money, though of course extra funds are vital in buying new larger pieces of equipment or replacing worn-out bikes. It also gives parents opportunities to meet up and get to know each other better, away from the hustle and bustle of drop-offs and pick-ups.
We are lucky to have a very supportive team of parents who all make every effort to ensure our fundraising events are as successful as possible. A strong person at the helm is a great help, as often fundraising events require a huge amount of organisation.
